Learning & Teaching Expo 2024 — 'Precision and Intelligence’ Teaching Practice Based on Digital Tools

In this seminar, the speaker will summarise and refine the ‘Precision and Intelligence’ teaching paradigm, creating three types of ‘Precision and Intelligence’ teaching variations based on digital tools, including variations for humanities subjects, science subjects, and physical education and health subjects.
The speaker’s team has implemented a learning evaluation system based on the principle of ecological niches and developed an ‘evidence-based’ commentary model centered on core competencies of subjects, and explore the ‘333’ evaluation model for comprehensive quality assessment of students based on observations of non-intellectual factors across all educational stages, aiming to create a visible model of academic growth.

The speaker’s team actively engaged in various forms of exchange and mutual learning activities. During the 2024 anniversary celebration of ‘Nanshan Exploration in Basic Education Curriculum Reform’, this school's English and science teachers demonstrated district-level model lessons in ‘Competency-Based Classrooms’ and hosted educational colleagues from Hangzhou, Zhaoqing, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other regions for visits and exchanges.

Participants of this seminar will understand how the school integrates the advancement of intelligent teaching, smart learning, and digital evaluation, employing a strategy of simultaneous development along three lines.

1. Intelligent Teaching: How each subject group combines the characteristics of their subjects to scientifically select learning tools and reconstruct teaching and learning behaviors based on the value of those tools, thereby building precise teaching variations supported by big data on top of the school's ‘Precision and Intelligence’ teaching model.

2. Smart Learning: Understand how the ‘3R’ model supports students in "autonomous learning" and ‘deep learning’; establish personalised multi-scenario environments under blended conditions, creating a multi-dimensional, intelligent learning space centered on students.
3. Digital Evaluation: In the context of the new era of educational evaluation reform, understand how the school delves into digital evaluation practices.
