Panda e-Academy: Wild Wisdom Award Scheme

 

First organised by WWF-India in 2008, Wild Wisdom Global Challenge (WWGC, the former Wild Wisdom Quiz before 2020) was held to enrich the knowledge of nature among students through quiz competition.

To further arouse students’ awareness of biodiversity as promoted in WWGC, WWF-Hong Kong and EdCity jointly organise “Panda e-Academy: Wild Wisdom Award Scheme”, to enhance students’ understanding on nature and motivate young people to conserve our environment.

Objectives

  • To enable students to learn about nature through interesting videos and questions
  • To encourage self-learning and enhance students’ environmental consciousness and interest in the natural environment

Target

Primary students in Hong Kong

  • Junior Primary Division: Primary 1 to 3 students
  • Senior Primary Division: Primary 4 to 6 students

Details

  • A total of 12 modules will be released in December, February, April and June.
  • Each module consists of video or reading materials and 6 questions
  • Students need to log in with their EdCity student accounts
  • All students are free to join the scheme and get individual student prizes
  • Teachers-in-charge need to enrol online with their HKEdCity teacher accounts by 20 Aug 2023 (Sun) to compete for school award and receive latest updates or notification of awards

 

A total of 12 modules will be released on the third Fridays in December, February, April and June. Students can log in with their EdCity student accounts to finish the modules by 20 August 2023 (Sunday).

Student Awards

‘Best Performance Awards for Students’

The ‘Best Performance Awards for Students’ will go to the 20 students with highest marks after finishing all modules of each division. Awardees will receive $150 gift vouchers, a stationery pack from WWF-Hong Kong and a certificate.

*If there are more than one student with the same mark, the one who finishes all modules at an earlier time will get the prize

School Awards

‘Best Participation Awards for Schools’

The 3 schools with highest participating rates will be awarded. Awarded schools will receive $1000 gift vouchers and a certificate.

*Only registered schools may get this prize

Result Announcement

Date: 1 September 2023

Results will be announced on this website. Awarded schools and schools with awarded students will receive a separate notification.
