Online Question Bank Award Scheme 2022/23
Objective
- 'Online Question Bank Award Scheme' facilitate schools' effective adoption of the Online Question Bank (OQB) platform to foster 'Assessment for Learning' in a whole-school approach, and promote students' self-directed learning.
Target
- Schools with OQB School Subscription, and their S4-6 students
- S4-6 students with OQB Individual Subscription
Period
- 1 September 2022 to 21 August 2023
Details
- Schools with OQB School subscription are eligible to compete for school awards after completing the school enrolment form.
- Students from schools with OQB school subscription, as well as students with OQB Individual Subscription, are eligible to compete for student awards.
- Teachers need to log in with their school-based teacher accounts to create and publish question papers. The system will record the data automatically.
- Students need to log in with their EdCity student accounts to create and submit question papers. The system will record the data automatically.
- Teacher reports with student progress are available on the platform.
- Papers using any OQB items (including HKEAA and other free items) will satisfy the award requirements.

Awards
Schools and students with excellent performances will be rewarded. Teachers can enrol in the 'Award Scheme' online with their EdCity teacher accounts by 21 August 2023 to compete for the school awards.
School Awards
- In the scheme period, the 20 schools with the highest number of papers submitted per student are eligible to compete for the awards in the following order:
- Most Active Participation School Award (1 school)
- The school with the highest average number of papers submitted by students
- Most Active in Promoting Assessment School Award (1 school)
- The school with the most papers published by teachers
- Most Extensive Use of Assessment School Award (1 school)
- The school with the most subjects with papers published by teachers
- Most Active in Promoting Self-learning School Award (1 school)
- The school with the highest average number of papers created and submitted by students
- Most Participation School Award (1 school)
- The school with the highest student participation rate
- In the case of a tie for any award, the school with the higher average number of papers submitted by students will be awarded.
- Awarded schools will receive HK$1,000 book vouchers and a certificate.
- Most Active Participation School Award (1 school)
Student Awards
- In the scheme period, students can compete for the following award:
- Best Active Learner Award (10 students)
- The students who have created and submitted the most papers
- Best Active Learner Award (10 students)
- Awardees will receive HK$150 book vouchers and a certificate.
Result Announcement
- Results have been announced on this website. Awarded schools and schools with awarded students will receive a separate notification through email.
