Student Reading Contract
Objectives
'Student Reading Contract' under Reading Contract encourages students to record their reading progress systematically with 'My Reading Log' as a tool and those who have completed the scheme with the most book records will be awarded. Teachers can understand students' reading habits and capabilities with online reports.

Details
- Students need to log in with their EdCity student accounts and submit their reading records with book information and book reviews.
- No limit on number and genre of books.
- Student can submit book reviews in the format of texts, illustrations, videos etc. For text, the reviews need to be at least 30 words.
- The book reviews submitted must be original.
- Plagiarism, which includes the use or copying another person's work, will result in disqualification.
- All students are free to join the scheme and get individual student prizes.
- Teacher reports with student progress are available on the website.
- Hong Kong Education City have the final decision on the rules, terms and results of Reading Contract.

Objectives
‘eRead Contract’ under Reading Contract helps schools implement school-based eBook reading programmes so as to cultivate reading culture at school and facilitate students' self-directed reading.
Target
All participating schools of ‘eRead Scheme’ which have subscribed to any of the following reading packages:
Paid Packages:
- HKEdCity Reading Package 21/22
- SUEP Reading Package 21/22
Free Packages:
- English Classic Series
- Net Series
- Chinalane
- Chinese Classics
- Modern Chinese Authors Series
- School-based Free Reading Package
Division

Details
- Schools need to subscribe to any reading package of ‘eRead Scheme’
- Students need to log in with their EdCity student account to read eBooks. The system will record the reading data automatically (Note: The reading data will not be recorded when reading in the offline mode with tablets or smartphones)
- Teacher reports with student progress are available on the website
- Teachers can use the website’s ‘Distribution’ function to recommend eBooks to students and compete for the ‘Top School Award in Promoting Reading’
- Hong Kong Education City has the final decision on the rules, terms and results of the Scheme.
