'Where does energy come from?' Monster asked when switching on the light in the room. 'Mostly from power plants…' Robin replied.Monster was putting some soils into a flower pot. 'What are you doing?' Robin asked Monster. 'Planting power plants, to get energy!' Monster answered.'Power plants are factories! They make electricity by burning fossil fuels…' Robo explained.'Then let me dig for some fossil fuels to burn!' Monster was motivated, holding a spade. 'No! It creates a lot of pollutions!' Robin tried to stop Monster.'Right! Plus they are running out!' Robo said sadly. 'It takes millions of years to form fossil fuels!' Robin further explained'Robo, can you go back to the past for me?' Monster asked. And Robin and Robo became speechless.

There are two types of energy sources: renewable and non-renewable. Non-renewable energy is the energy produced from sources that are limited in supply.

Power plants make electricity by burning "fossil fuels" such as coal, gas, or oil. They can make enormous amounts of electricity but this creates problems too. Burning fossil fuels creates pollution and leads to global warming (the Earth is steadily heating up). Another problem is that the supply of fossil fuels is limited and they are steadily running out.

To solve the problems, we can use renewable and green energy instead.
