"Ache" means a continuous pain which is unpleasant but not strong. It is used in combination with parts of the body to mean a continuous pain in the stated part. We can use ache as a verb too. And "ache for" is a phrasal verb meaning that we miss, want or regret about something or someone a lot.

Examples:

1. I've had a headache all this morning.

2. He is lonely and aching for love.

3. My parents have been out of town for two weeks. I am aching for them.
