Easter Challenge of Twig 2019

Objectives

Science is part of our daily life. With the quality science videos and quizzes in eResource Twig, students can make use of their leisure time to strengthen their knowledge and build up their interest in Science. Meanwhile, teachers can encourage students to join and get the award! Details are as below:

Challenges

  • Students can follow the 'Steps' below and complete the following assignments: Watch the Films and complete the Quizzes
  • Teachers may encourage students to join, and to nominate for school awards
  • Students may also submit a short essay in addition to the 2 assignments to opt for the student award

  • The 2 schools with the highest participating rate of students who completed all the assignments, including:
    • Complete watching the 5 assigned films
    • Complete the quizzes
  • 6-month free trial of Twig Experiments and Twig Maths

Best Performance Awards for Schools
  • The 2 schools in which students completed all the assignments, including:
    • Complete watching the 5 assigned films
    • Complete the quizzes, with the highest average score
    • Award will go to the 2 schools with the highest participating rate of students
  • 6-month free trial of Twig Experiments and Twig Maths

Best Performance Award for Student
  • 1 awardee
  • Watch 5 assigned Films, complete the Quizzes, and
  • Write an essay (with no more than 200 words in Chinese or English) to express the analysis, feelings, evaluation and opinion on one of the films
  • The essays would be evaluated by Twig’s professional team
  • Award will go to the student with the highest total scores (average quiz scores plus essay scores, each makes up 50% of the total scores)
  • Click the button/link in 'Steps' to submit essay

Steps

  1. Go to https://www.twig-world.com/. Click 'LOG IN' at the top right hand corner. On the login page, enter username/email and password, then click 'log in'.
  2. Click the notification button at the top right hand corner and then choose 'Easter Challenge of Twig 2019'. Watch the 5 assigned Films and complete the Quizzes. The 5 assigned Films include: DNA and Crime, Forensics: DNA Profiling, Forensics: Chromatography, Forensics: Tools of CSI, and Forensics: Bog Bodies. 
  3. To compete for the Best Performance Award for Student, click HERE to submit your essay.

* The system will only record the score of first attempt for in case of multiple submissions.
