Plan A

Scope of the Programme - Plan A

Recruitment of schools for eREAP - Plan A ended in August 2019. If schools have sufficient interest to continue to use the eResources AFTER the programme, HKEdCity may continue to liaise over the licensing and schools can continue to use the service by paying the applicable licence fee.

  • The eResources are mature, proven and have been widely used in many countries. Schools could use the eResources both in classroom or for students’ independent study.

  • Schools which received government funding under ITE4 for WiFi were eligible to apply for this eREAP - Plan A. Schools can apply for one or more eResources.

  • The eResources included in the plan were commercial products and required licence fee. However, the subscription of the licence was funded by government grant and schools could use the eResources for free within the programme period.

  • Schools could assign the eResources for the use by all students or only for particular classes. Many eResources are licensed for whole school so it was preferable to cover all students at the applicable key learning stage as far as practicable.

  • eResources was available starting from Jan-Feb 2017 and were renewable for 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 as long as schools found the eResources useful and had reasonable usage.

  • More eResources were added in Sep 2017.

  • Recruitment of schools has been conducted for 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020. The results were subject to availability of licences.

  • Teacher sharing events have been conducted to build the professional community.

  • School surveys have been conducted for the purpose of improving the programme.
