The Grand Opening Ceremony of IYC 2011 (HK) cum Award Presentation of the Hong Kong Chemistry Olympiad 2011 was successfully completed on 26/2/2011 at City University of Hong Kong upon encouragement by lots of guests, including Professor Albert Chan, the President and Vice-Channelor of Hong Kong Baptist University, Ms Anna Lee, Chief Curriculum Development Officer (Science)of Education Bureau, HKSAR, Professor Raymond Wong, Chair of Hong Kong Chemical Society, Ms Wanze Li, Senior Project Manager of Hong Kong Education City limited and representatives from Universities and professional bodies. It is hoped that via collaboration in between parties, there will be increase in  the public appreciation of chemistry in meeting world needs and general encouragement among young people the pursuit chemistry. All are welcome to enjoy the highlights below.
