This workshop aims to discuss how to make use of Adobe Acrobat software for developing suitable PDF learning and teaching resources, so as to match the requirements of different electronic readers in the market (Netbook¡BiPad¡BTablet PC¡BPalm¡Belectronic-ink reader, e-Schoolbag, etc). Moreover, the workshop will also analyze the method to select suitable e-Learning materials to suit the needs of students.
1. Brief introduction of the functions of Adobe Acrobat software; 2. Demonstrate the conversion of different files to PDF format, and explain the tips in file conversion procedure; 3. Explain the difference between Acrobat PDF files and those PDF files converted by other freeware (e.g. free online PDF converter); 4. Illustrate the difference in display format of PDF files shown by different electronic readers; 5. Hands-on practice of using the software for making electronic learning and teaching materials; 6. Sharing by frontline teachers the successful experiences of application of the software in learning and teaching of primary schools and the selection of suitable e-Learning materials; and 7. Questions & Answers.
