Primary English Panel chairs and English teachers
This will be the first in a series of Experience Sharing Seminars. This particular session will focus on preparing P.5 or P.6 students for their secondary school interviews. NET and/or LET guest speakers will share their school experiences using a hands-on approach. There will be time for discussion and sharing among all participants.
Remarks: Experience Sharing Seminars are different from Centralised Professional Development workshops in terms of the format and approach. After the guest speakers have made their presentations, there would be a 30-minute sharing session. The participants will be involved in professional exchange and dialogue relating to the specific topic.
The seminar is 2 hours long, starting from 3 pm onwards.

Professional Development Course on Assessment for Learning in English Language at Primary Level

The Hong Kong Institute of Education – Tai Po Campus
The course aims to develop and enhance participants' understanding and skills for the effective implementation of assessment for learning as a response to the current curriculum reform initiatives.
On completion of the course, participants will:
1. have developed an understanding of the principles and practice of assessment for learning in English language at the primary school level; 2. be able to demonstrate how to integrate learning and assessment within language arts; and 3. have developed the capacity to carry out assessment for learning in the English language curriculum in primary schools.

Professional Development Course for Primary School Teachers (Educational Innovation)

The course aims to equip primary school teachers for implementing the education and curriculum reform in schools. The course integrates theories with practice and enhances the attitudes, skills and knowledge of participants in an area of reform through course work and assessment tasks thereafter.
