| The
Food Guide Pyramid divides food into five major food groups : grains,
vegetables, fruits, milk and meat. Each of these food groups provides
some but not all of the nutrients and energy you need. For good
and proper growth, you need to eat a variety of different foods
every day. The foods you take every day should include choices from
all five major food groups. When you have a balanced diet over time,
you will develop good eating habits and help you maintain a healthy
weight. |
