Brief Description:
A speaking task in which students are required to talk about qualities and characteristics of a good friend should have

User Tips:

  • Before the speaking task, teachers can ask students who their good friends are and the qualities these good friends have.
  • For less able students, teachers can modify the qualities of a good friend into simple phrases (e.g. looks after me, listens to me, plays with me).
  • For more able students, ask them to write a poem to describe their good friends based on the qualities suggested in the speaking task.

User Tips:

  • Before listening, divide students in groups of 5 and assign each member with a group of alphabets (e.g. A-C, D-F, G-I, J-L, M-Z).
  • While listening, students can write down the adjectives or phrases they can find in the song which start with the target alphabets.
  • After listening, students can more adjectives to describe a friend and group them according to alphabets.
