[Scene 1]
Sally:

Hello. Welcome to Youth Speak. Today, we will show you ways to say 'No'. For example:

[Turns to John.]

Sally:

Hi John. Do you want to have lunch with me?

John: No thank you, Sally. I am going to have lunch with my aunt.
Peter: Stop! Cut! We don't speak like that. It's like this:

[Turns to John.]

Peter:

Hi John. Do you wanna get some lunch?

John:

No! I'm busy.

[Scene 2]

Peter: Hi Mandy! Do you wanna go to Festival Walk with me?
Mandy: Not in a million years.

[Scene 3]
Peter: Hi Pauline. Do you wanna play ball with me?
Pauline:

No way! You're not good enough.

[Pauline takes the basketball and dribbles round Peter.]

[Scene 4]

Peter:

Hi April! I'm broke. Could you borrow me $1,000 please?

April:

In your dreams! You'll never give it back.

[Scene 5]
Peter: Will you marry me?
Kathy: You must be joking! I'd rather clean the toilets for the rest of my life!
