American schools and universities usually have (American) football teams. The players are like stars in the school. Here are some FAQs about the game.

How many players are in each team? 11
How long is a game? 60 minutes in total. There are four 15-minute quarters in a game. There are many breaks so a game can take about three hours!
Do many players get hurt? Sometimes. They wear helmets( 鋼盔) and padding ( 墊塞 ) to protect themselves.
How many substitutes can each team have? As many as they want. It's like basketball. Each team has a big squad (小隊).
How do they win? Each team tries to get the ball to the other team's end. That is called a touchdown. They can run with the ball or try to catch it.
Who is the most important player? The quarterback. He throws the ball.
What is the most important game? The Superbowl. In late January, the two best teams play. Most Americans watch this game on TV.
Are football players rich? Good players are very rich! In 2002, one player, Michael Strachan, made HK$150,000,000. That's much more than David Beckham gets at Real Madrid.
