Weekly Focus - Iguanas

The kids find wild iguanas on the beach. They look ugly but iguanas are interesting creatures. They can be more than 1m long and can live for more than 20 years. Here are some websites about them.

Wong, the pet iguana (http://mail.milagros.net/caiman/wgig-im2.htm)
A person named Britton had a pet iguana called Wong for seven years. This website has hundreds of photos of Wong's friends, all iguanas. Britton must have really loved Wong!

How to keep iguanas as pets (http://www.baskingspot.com/iguanas/igbook/index.html)
This website tells you how to have a pet iguana. Can iguanas eat pizza? What if an iguana has a cold? Look here. It does say that you should only have one if you do not have a lot of time to look after it.

Marine Iguana (http://www.rit.edu/~rhrsbi/GalapagosPages/MarineIguana.html)
Do you want to see iguanas' teeth and claws? You can see photos of these ugly creatures here.

Green iguanas (http://www.thewildones.org/Animals/iguana.html)
This website tells you how and where iguanas live. For examples, female iguanas can lay 50 eggs at one time.
