Read about the 11th episode of Sail Away. How much of it did you remember?
The
kids have sailed 1,100km in four weeks. They remember all
the fun they've had, like swimming with sharks.
They
sail into White Sand Ridge, home to more than 200 dolphins.
They are really excited about seeing dolphins.
Aubrey,
Charlotte and Geo think their lucky mascot, Paco, will attract
the dolphins. However, Alex on the other boat sees dolphins
first. They swim near her boat.
The
kids must learn to dive deeper. Nicholas and the cameraman,
Dan, teach them. They must pinch their noses as they dive.
Nicholas
tells them not to touch dolphins' heads or blowholes. Dolphins
will never try to hurt people.
When the
dolphins come near the boats again, everyone dives in.
The
kids swim like dolphins. Soon, the water is full of these beautiful
creatures.
They
talk about their experience. Most kids feel it is an experience
of a lifetime. Some kids try to make dolphin sounds.
Nicholas
guts and cooks a large garoupa for dinner.
After
that, everyone watches the video of them swimming with dolphins.
It reminds them how lucky they are to be on this expedition.
They swim with dolphins again the next day. They are more used
to them. Some students can touch dolphins.
This
is the favourite activity for most of the kids on Sail Away.
