Mom
Jo & Dad Sam have a night out. Together with Miranda
& Gordo, Lizzie is "home alone" baby-sitting her
little brother Matt.
During
the night, someone tries to break into the house.
They are sure he is a burglar, and so they call
the police for help.
Before
the police arrives, they have to find ways to
stop the burglar from breaking in. Using her imagination,
Lizzie turns toys into weapons.

| Lizzie
McGuire |
|
Lizzie
is sure that she is just the same age as Kate,
that she is just as mature as Kate is, and that
she is responsible. She talks mom & dad into letting
her baby-sit 10-year-old Matt.
This
is her first ever baby-sitting job, and she goes
through a night of adventures. She shows everyone
that she is 13 years old, that she is old enough
to trust, and that she is a reliable baby-sitter.
Most
important of all, she shows everyone she is the
one in charge.

| Miranda
Sanchez |
|
At
school, Miranda gets an assignment to imagine
the perfect town. She imagines Boring-ville, USA.
It is a town where schools come up with moronic
assignments.
She
knows baby-sitting jobs are hard to get, because
parents want mature baby-sitters. She thinks Kate
gets to baby-sit because she is stacked.
To
Miranda, girls deserve a monopoly on baby-sitting.
She decides to join Lizzie to baby-sit Matt at
the McGuire house.

|
| Gordo |
|
Gordo
confirms that he does live in a boring suburb,
where all the houses look alike and everyone is
predictable.
He
thinks baby-sitting sounds like a pretty sweet
gig. To him, Kate gives off visual signals which
imply a biologically nurturing capability. He
agrees with Miranda that Kate is stacked.
He
disagrees with Miranda that girls have a monopoly
on baby-sitting. He decides to muscle in for a
share of the green dollar bills.

| Dad
Sam |
|
To
Sam, Matt can be quite a handful. If Lizzie baby-sits
Matt, she will not be able to handle him. Still,
he agrees to give it a try.
Before
he goes off for dinner with Jo, he tells Lizzie
not to open the door for anybody. He also tells
her they are trusting her, but he is only pretending.
Then,
he decides to leave Jo in the restaurant and goes
off to spend the night in misadventures.

| Kate |
|
Kate
wants to buy a copy of Cyber Townmaker, a software
that designs cities & towns. She is supposed to
use her imagination to do the Perfect Town Design
assignment, and she wants to do it on a computer.
The
computer software costs sixty bucks, but she can
easily afford it. She baby-sat twice the week
before, and she has more money than she needs.

Brother Matt, Mum Jo |
|
Matt
gets baby-sat by Lizzie, for the first time in
his life. He knows Lizzie wants mom & dad to think
she is a good baby-sitter. He decides to show
her who is really in charge, and so he won't do
a thing she says.
Jo
has a night out with Sam. She spends most of the
night sitting in a restaurant waiting for him.
She hears that this is no way for a man to treat
a lady.
