The very
first "Women in Hong Kong: Harmony and Balance"
Creative Competition will be organised by the Women's
Commission to arouse students' interest in and stimulate
their creativity on women-related issues. It is a handsome
opportunity for students to express their ideas about
women in Hong Kong, through developing projects in collaboration
with individuals, groups and organisations.

Harmony and Balance"
Topics and subject areas might include situations,
problems, challenges, and opportunities that women
in Hong Kong face in maintaining and enhancing
harmony and balance in their lives.

Open to all primary and secondary
school students (No limitation on the number of
team members; students may team up with students
from different schools.)
- Primary school (P.1 ¡V P. 6 or Grade 1-5)
- Lower secondary school (F.1 ¡V F. 3 or Grade
6-8)
- Upper secondary school (F.4 ¡V F.7 or Grade
9-12)
*Classified according to the highest form or
grade of the members in the group. |

Format |
- Static (e.g.: essay,
slogan, picture, poster, song and e-card with
background music.)
- Animated (e.g., movie,
animation, drama.)
* Please introduce the theme and creative
concept of the project and the process of
collaborating with other parties in producing
the project in 500 words (Chinese or English).
* All entries may either be submitted via
the Internet, website: http://www.hkedcity.net/project/women.

Apart from offering attractive cash and award
prizes, we are planning something more for the
winners, just to quote a few as below:
- Invitation to the award presentation ceremony
at Government House (as part of the Commission's
Reception for International Women¡¦s Day 2005
on 8 March)
- special visits to Police facilities or other
public organizations
- attending a radio programme (to be confirmed)
- name of winners/winning pieces to be published
in related newspapers supplements and the Women's
Commission website, and the Commission's other
future publicity programmes
- sharing session with Women¡¦s Commission Members.

Participants should confirm the entry format
when submitting their projects by the closing
date for submission. The organiser reserves the
right to make final decision concerning the entry
format.
There is no limitation on the number of projects
submitted by each participant, but the same project
could not be submitted for more than one category.
Participants must keep the originals of their
projects for on-line submission, and a copy of
the project in the case of submission direct to
the Women¡¦s Commission.
The organiser reserves the right to refine, modify,
publish (in the form of a collection) and exhibit
the projects received for the Creative Competition.
All projects must be created by the participants
originally. The organiser also reserves the right
to make final decisions on the results, regulations,
prizes and awards for the Creative Competition.
Award winners will be notified by mail. |
