AFS Intercultural Services

The two exchange students, Francesca and Sebastian, are living in Hong Kong for a year. AFS arranges these exchanges. You could spend a year or a summer abroad. Students often learn a new language, such as German or Spanish and always improve their English. The website has lots of information and photos of cultural exchange.

Learn Italian Online

Learn Italian online with the BBC. There are photo stories to listen to. You will soon be able to say, 'Hi handsome! I'd like lasagna' in perfect Italian. You can also learn Spanish, German or French once you're fluent in Italian.

Italian Tourist Office

You can find out about Italy, even if you never go there. Click on 'Food & Wine' to find out what Italians eat for breakfast. 'Italy be region' shows how beautiful the 20 regions of Italy are.

These websites are great for learning more about the world. The BBC has a lot of news and sport videos to watch. Google News has links to articles from hundreds of online newspapers.

Pacific Coffee and Starbucks are the most popular places to get a coffee in Hong Kong. Their websites tell you about how coffee is made. Click on Pacific Coffee's 'Game Room' to play its Spot-the-difference game. Over at Starbucks, click on 'at home' to learn how to make ice cream sandwiches!
