Memories
of Hong Kong
My year in Hong Kong was excellent and I made
some great friends at school. We hung out after
school, went shopping and had lots of laughs.
I felt like a Hong Kong girl when we took sticker
photos together. We had lots of Chinese desserts
as well, like mango pudding and sweet rice balls.
Mmmm! My host family lived in Lam Tin, close
to my school. I loved their home cooking.

Mock Trial
Competition
I was in the St. Catharine・s Mock Trial team.
We got to the final and had to dress in smart
clothes, which made us nervous. People were
surprised to see someone with blond hair (me)
acting as a witness. It was good for my English.
You should try it at your school.

My School
in Finland
We study a lot of languages in Finland. I・m
learning English, German and Swedish, as well
as Maths and Social Studies. We don・t really
have homework in summer so I・ll get a part-time
job and travel by train around Europe with my
friends.

Life
in Finland
I ate lots and lots of rice in Hong Kong. At
home, I eat lots and lots
of potatoes! Most houses in Finland have a sauna
because it's cold in winter. My whole family
will go there in the evening to relax and keep
warm. We have a smaller home in the countryside
for holidays. My brother took his girlfriend
last time. It's beautiful.

Vikings
Finland is near Sweden so many people think
that we were Vikings in the past. This is not
true!!! Vikings
were Swedish pirates who sailed to many European
countries about a thousand years ago. Everyone
feared them.
Thank
You Hong Kong
I really miss Hong Kong and would love to come
back! It・s a safe and exciting city. You・re
lucky to live there!!!
